This website brings together my work in plasma physics, my background in engineering and mathematical sciences, and a place to write about the questions that interest me.
Research, in context
My current work at the University of Michigan focuses on charged-particle dynamics and computational plasma physics. I am interested in how space charge changes short electron pulses, how emission affects plasma sheaths, and how fluid and kinetic models help us understand these systems.
The projects section gives some context to these questions. The publication archive collects papers, preprints, and conference contributions, with links to the original records.
A notebook as well as a portfolio
Not every idea fits into a paper. This blog is a place for notes on scientific computing, research methods, and concepts worth working through more slowly. It also leaves room for interests outside research, including history and film.
My earlier projects span electrical engineering, energy systems, and data analysis. Keeping them alongside my current research makes the connections between these areas visible.
